Many years of Theatre experience is invested in our new pride THALIA. The Thalia is a web CMS system totally customized for theatres, concert halls and festivals. One of the leading theatres in Norway has been consulting during the development, and is also using the system.
The system is built on one of the world’s most used open source web publishing systems, Joomla.
-On top of all the standard functionality of the Joomla system, we have among other things developed industry specific features such as Artist profiles, Venue/Stage administration and extensive show presentation pages, says partner in Devant Mette Frederiksen.
Thalia has a seamless integration with the Wordpress blog, Facebook and Vimeo.
-The system is already integrated with two of the world’s leading web based ticketing systems; ENTA and AUDIENCEVIEW.
Therefore, we should appear especially attractive to users of these two box office systems. We are ready to integrate to any other systems, says Frederiksen.
During the fall of 2012 we are launching our own simple component for ticket management in the Thalia, says Frederiksen. – We are not going to compete with the big players and their advanced systems. We are developing a simpler alternative made to fit institutions with a very simple ticketing need, such as a Festivals or Restaurants that require a ticketing system for a given number of tickets.
The venue should be able to define an event, and the number of available seats. The Internet users should be able to buy and pay for the ticket, print out the ticket or have it sent to their Smartphone. At the venue, the ticket will be scanned with an optical scanner and registered in the system.
Back to the Thalia as it appears today: How is a delivery made?
The Admin system or CMS system is fully standardized, so the focus is on designing the user interface and getting the content in place. No one in this creative industry would like to appear exactly as their competitors, for obvious reasons.
-Our product manager Harpreet Khurana will work with the clients and our Designers on the design solution. This is for further synchronizing the functionality and coordinating any integration to external systems.
